On this website

You can make a secure one-off or monthly donation using your credit card on this website. Online donations are the fastest way to donate, and you will receive a receipt by email. Online donations are also the most cost-effective way for Life Flight to receive your generous donations.


Bank transfer

To make a one-off bank transfer, simply login to your online banking account and set up Life Flight as a payee.

  • Particulars: Your surname and initials 

  • Reference: Your Life Flight Supporter Number (if you have donated previously) 


Direct debit

With a direct debit, you give us the approval to electronically take a monthly, agreed amount from your bank account. Because you don’t have to do anything, a direct debit reduces your chances of missing a payment. To set up a direct debit, please print and complete this form and return it to us at info@lifeflight.org.nz.

Supporting Life Flight without cheques

As you may be aware, New Zealand banks have now phased out cheques. Cheques have been fantastic to receive over the years, and a large percentage of our donations come via cheque. We greatly appreciate your donations and understand that this may be a difficult time. Your peace of mind is our top priority. To get additional advice on how best to donate, we suggest you:

  • Visit your local bank branch – the staff will be able to advise you of alternative ways you can donate to Life Flight.

  • I received a phone call asking me to donate - is it safe?

    We are currently getting a little extra help from our partners at Unity4. We are a small team, so this allows us to focus on other areas of the organization. If you receive a call from (04) 9016952, please be assured this is one of the Unity4 team calling on our behalf. If you are ever unsure about someone calling on our behalf, do not hesitate to contact us.

  • How do I claim a 33% Tax Refund?

    Did you know you can claim a tax refund of up to 33% of any donation over $5? You can even donate this tax credit back to Life Flight. Our IRD number is 036–600–905. For more information, visit IRD’s website.

  • How do I get a receipt for my donation?

    If you have made a one-off donation online, an email should have been sent to you immediately with the receipt attached. If you are a regular giver, you will receive one tax receipt at the end of the financial year. If you have any questions or want to be sent a receipt, please contact us.

  • How do I cancel / pause / downgrade my monthly donation?

    Firstly, thank you so much for your generous support as a Red Angel. We understand that circumstances change, and are grateful for the support you have given us. If you would like to reduce, pause or cancel your gift, please call us on 04-920 2242 during business hours, Monday to Friday. Our friendly team will assist you.
