Meet Our Family Sponsors
A word from Fagan Motors: We have been the Ford Dealer for the Wairarapa region since 1931 and in recent years added the Mazda Franchise along with Suzuki & Kawasaki motorcycles. We also operate a heavy truck servicing facility on a separate site. Our staff numbers have grown over the years to around 34 people. We are a bunch of mad passionate car & motorcycle enthusiasts who love what we do and we are very proud of each and every one of them.
Why did we get involved? Simple really we chose to support Life Flight on behalf of our entire community. Without them... Well we won’t go there, it’s not a case of should we support them but MUST support them. We have a very good Hospital here in Masterton but like other rural areas it only provides medical care up to a certain level. Serious accidents in remote rural areas and health issues that require urgent specialist attention are all located at Wellington Hospital and that’s when Life Flight steps in and makes it happen and happen fast. Using a combination of the Westpac Chopper we all know but also the fixed wing aircraft depending on the situation. The amount of lives they have saved in our region alone over the years just blows us away.
We are very proud sponsors and believe our support will contribute to more lives being saved.
Life Flight and Interislander’s relationship began the day of the Wahine maritime disaster. When the Union Steam Ship vessel Wahine ran aground at the entrance to Wellington Harbour, Life Flight’s founder, Peter Button was among the crowd watching as the Interislander ferry, Aramoana came to the aid of the distressed. Witnessing the tragedy inspired Peter to start New Zealand’s first dedicated rescue service, known to us today as Life Flight.
The Life Flight team does an incredible job at saving lives. In fact, they were recently called to render assistance to one of Interislander‘s very own Chief Engineer Officers after he was involved in a motorcycle accident. Thankfully, the Life Flight team reached him in time to offer medical assistance. We support Life Flight, because that fraction of a moment in time matters.
Being part of the family group of sponsors and the naming sponsor of the annual Life Flight Open Day, Interislander is proud to be supporting such a vital service for our communities and families.
Wellington International Airport
A word from the Airport: The team at Wellington Airport is proud to provide Life Flight Trust with financial assistance to support the service's operations, making donations to the Trust go further.
With Life Flight Trust's Air Rescue Centre based at Wellington Airport, we see first-hand the vital service the team at Life Flight Trust provides our community.
As a family business we have been a part of the Wellington community for the last 25 years. As such we like to support the Wellington region’s families not only with a better night’s sleep but also when they need to keep their families safe and cared for in a crisis. We feel supporting Life Flight Trust is one of the great ways we can do this.
Hiremaster is proud to be a long-standing supporter of Life Flight for over 30 years. We’re grateful to be able to provide the event supplies needed for their annual Open Day, to be the presenter of an annual Life Flight Gala Dinner and to help in any other way we can throughout the year.
