Your chance to go behind the scenes
Whether it’s a stroke in Gisborne, premature twins in Whakatāne, or a heart attack in Masterton, we’re there when every minute counts. And we can’t do it without you.
Life Flight operates New Zealand’s most advanced fleet of air ambulance planes – airborne intensive care units that transfer critically ill patients to the specialist care they urgently need. Every five hours, someone relies on this service. In the last year alone, more than 1,800 people were transferred by Life Flight.
Originally based in Wellington, Life Flight opened a second aeromedical hub at Hamilton Airport in 2025 to meet growing demand. Today, five air ambulance planes operate 24/7 across the country.
By entering the draw, you’ll have the chance to go behind the scenes at the Waikato region’s newest aeromedical hub, learn more about the often unsung heroes of the sky: air ambulance planes, and how you can help ensure this life-saving service continues flying.
