Life Flight

Thank you to everyone who came out to support us on Thursday May 2nd – over 350 volunteers were out on the streets, representing Life Flight in the community! We have been blown away with the incredible support from local Lions and Rotary clubs, businesses, and all the incredible individuals, for signing up and gifting their time.

Our volunteers were spread across the Wellington, Wairarapa, Kapiti and Marlborough regions, and all their efforts went straight to keeping the local Westpac Chopper in the air, saving lives. Check back in a few weeks time to learn how much was raised.

If you can spare some time, joining in our street appeal is a wonderful way to have fun, connect with the local community, and raise vital funds. We would love to have you on the team for next year’s appeal. If you’re curious, as a chopper appeal collector, you will:

• Engage with your local community. You might hear heartwarming stories of “when they flew my dad” or “that time they landed on my street”.
• Help raise awareness of the Westpac Rescue Helicopter throughout Wellington, Kapiti Coast, Wairarapa, and Marlborough.
• Raise much-needed funds to keep the crews flying. This year tens of thousands was raised – help us surpass that next year!
