Wellington Westpac Rescue Helicopter Transports Patient from Waiarapa after a fall from a ladder

The Wellington Based
Westpac Rescue Helicopter Transported a 54yr old Male from Featherston today 8th
April at 5pm.
The patient had been
working up a ladder at a friends place when he fell approxamittly 2m from the
ladder onto the ground near Lake Ferry in the Waiarapa.
The Helicopter
responded with Two Wellington Free Ambulance Helicopter Paramedics on
Board.
The Helicopter was
able to land in a paddock next to the house where the patient had been driven by
a friend. On the arrival of the Helicopter the patient was being treated by the
local Waiarapa Ambulance.
The Patient was then
flowen to Wellington Hospital Emergency Department where he is being treated and
assessed for Head, Neck, Back and Chest Injuries.
