The Wellington Based Westpac Rescue Helicopter was called to Paraparaumu this evening at 8:50pm 9th Dec 08 to a 41yr old female from Paraparaumu who was having a severe aAthma attack.
The Helicopter was able to land a short distance away from the house where the patient was. Two Wellington Free Paramedics were already at the house stabilizing the patient. Once the patient was stable enough she was placed on the Helicopters Stretcher and taken to the helicopter.
The two Paramedics from the scene flew back with the patient to the Wellington Hospital Emergency Department. Where she is being treated for her Asthma
