Wellington Westpac Rescue Helicopter called to car crash in Wainuiomata

The Wellington Based Westpac Rescue Helicopter was call today at 4:40pm 30th Nov, to attend a car accident in Wainuiomata

The Patient that was transported by Helicopter was a 38yr old male from Wainuiomata.

The Westpac Rescue Helicopter Responded to the scene with two Wellington Free Ambulance Paramedic on board and were able to land at the Wainuiomata Fire station to meet the Ambulance. He was then stabilized and transported to Wellington Public Hospital emergency Department for further assessment and treatment.

The Fire Service in Wainuiomata did a great job in securing a safe place for the Westpac Helicopter to land

The patient is currently being accessed for chest, head and leg injuries

Other patients from the scene were transported by road ambulances to Hutt Hospital
