Wellington Westpac Rescue Helicopter called to a possible Cardiac Arrest in Kaitoke North of Upper Hutt

The Wellington Based Westpac Rescue Helicopter was call late this afternoon at 4pm 25th Jan 09 to 19yr old Female from Upper Hutt who had suffered a possible Cardiac Arrest.

The Helicopter responded to the location and land a short distance from the Ambulances. The location of the incident was near Kaitoke which is on State Highway 2 north of Upper Hutt. The 19yr old had been driving the vehicle when she suffered the possible cardiac arrest. The vehicle she was driving stopped on the shoulder on the left hand side of the road.

Two Wellington Free Paramedics flew back with the patient from the scene to Wellington Hospital Emergency Department. The patient is in the Emergency Department being assessed.
