Wellington Based Westpac Transports a Motocross rider from Totara Park Upper Hutt

The Wellington Based Westpac Rescue Helicopter airlifted a 23yr old male from Paekakariki early this evening at 5:30pm 12 Sept 10.
The Helicopter Responded with a Wellington Free Paramedic onboard to a forestry block in the hills behind Totara Park in Upper Hutt.
The Patient had been out riding on his Dirt Bike with his friends when he came off and injured his right leg.
A Wellington Free Ambulance was the first on the scene and had started treating the patient before the arrival of the Helicopter.
Due to the location and injuries of the Patient he had to be flown to the Wellington Hospital Emergency Department where is is being assessed and treated for his injuries.
