Wellington Based Westpac Rescue Helicopter transports two Patient from a Boating Accident in Picton

The Wellington Based Westpac Rescue Helicopter transported two patients from Picton this afternoon 5th Feb 2011 at 3:00pm.
The two patients were both students on a vessel in the Picton Harbour when another vessel collided with the vessel they were on.
The Westpac Helicopter responded with a Wellington Free Ambulance Paramedic onboard.
The female Patients were 29 and 27 years old and both from Whangarei.
Both patients were flown to Wellington Hospital emergency department where they are both being treated and assessed for leg injuries.
