The Wellington Based Westpac Rescue Helicopter was called to Paraparaumu Airport at approximately 9:00pm this evening 21st Dec 09 to a teenage boy who had fallen off his BMX bike.

The Helicopter with two Wellington Free Ambulance Paramedics on board responded to Paraparaumu. 

The 14yr old boy from Paraparaumu had fallen off his BMX and had sustained injuries to his head and neck. A Ambulance transported the boy to the Paraparaumu Airport where the Helicopter landed. 

The boy was transported to Wellington Hospital Emergency Department where he is being treated and assessed for his injuries.
