Wellington Based Westpac Rescue Helicopter Transports a Patient from Pukerua Bay to Wellington Hospital

The Wellington Based
Westpac Rescue Helicopter transported a Critically Injured 37yr old male patient
from a Motor Vehicle Accident in Pukerua Bay North of Porirua this morning at
8:00am 26 Feb 10.
The patient was the
Driver of a truck heading south no other passengers were injured or vehicles
were involved in the accident.
The Westpac Rescue
Helicopter with two Wellington Free Paramedics responded to Pukerua Bay. The
helicopter was able to land in the car park by the shops 300m from the crash
scene.
The Wellington Free
Ambulance at the scene transported the patient to the waiting
Helicopter.
The patient was
flown to Wellington Hospital Emergency Department where he is being treated for
his injuries.
