Wellington Based Westpac Rescue Helicopter Transports a Girl having a Seizure from Waikanae to Wellington Hospital

The Westpac Rescue Helicopter was called to Waikanae today at 5:30 22 April
09 to a 3yr old girl having a seizure.

The Helicopter responded to Waikanae Park with a Wellington Free Paramedic onboard. The girl was already being treated by Wellington Free ambulance staff. The Helicopter was able to land in the car park approx 50m fromthe ambulance with the patient in.

The girl was then flown to Wellington Hospital Emergency department where is being treated for her seizures.
