The Life Flight Trust responds to South Makara to an Injured Horse Rider

At 1400 this Afternoon the Life Flight Trust responded to South Makara to a 27yr old female who had been kicked by a horse.
Life Flight responded with a Wellington Free Paramedic on board the Westpac Rescue Helicopter.
The Helicopter was able to land 300m from the patient in a paddock.
The patient had been tending to her horse when she was kicked by the horses rear legs.
The Patient was treated by the Wellington Free Paramedic at the scene.
The Patient was suffering from chest and rib injuries.
The patient was flown to Wellington Hospital Emergency Department where she is being treated for her injuries.
The Life Flight Trust is a charity providing air rescue and air ambulance services. It operates the Wellington based Westpac Rescue Helicopter and a national air ambulance service.
