Sick baby transported to hospital by Westpac Rescue Helicopter

The Wellington-based Westpac Rescue Helicopter was called to a baby suffering multiple seizures at Paraparaumu late this afternoon.

The helicopter, with a Wellington Free Ambulance Helicopter Paramedic on board landed at Paraparaumu airport just after 5.45pm today.

On our arrival an 18 month old child was being treated by Wellington Free Ambulance Paramedics.

The baby and a parent were transported by helicopter to the Wellington Hospital Emergency Department for further assesment and treatment.
