NZCT has been the single most significant funder of Life Flight's air ambulance service since its inception.

Life Flight initially had one fixed wing aircraft based in Wellington servicing the needs of the Wellington community. However in 2005 when Life Flight was called to meet the demands of Starship's air retrieval requirements a move to set up an additional base in Auckland was essential. NZCT gave us wings and provided the increased funding required to take this life saving service into Auckland.

Without the support of organisations like NZCT Life Flight's air ambulance service would not have been able to meet the needs of all who use it. Currently we transport three people every day on the fixed wing air ambulance, one of these is usually a child or baby.
