Critically injured man flown from car accident near Masterton
Sat 29/08/2009The Westpac Rescue Helicopter was called today 29th Aug 09 at 3:45pm to a motor vehicle accident near Mauriceville in the Wairarapa.
The helicopter responded with two Wellington Free Paramedics onboard.
On our arrival we found Wairarapa Ambulance and fire brigade staff treating a critically injured patient.
The patient was the driver of the vehicle, a 50yr old male from Masterton.
He is suffering from serious head injuries.
The passenger of the vehicle suffered no injuries from the crash.
The patient was flown to the Palmerston North Hospital Emergency Department where he is being treated for his head injuries.
