Wilkommen! Bienvenue! Welcome! To the provocative world of Cabaret.

The 1966 Broadway hit which spawned a Liza Minelli film is taking centre stage in Dixon Streets' "The Garden Club". Set in 1931 as the Nazis are rising to power, it focuses on the nightlife at the giddy, glitzy and garish Kit Kat Klub, and revolves around the irrepressible 19-year-old English cabaret performer Sally Bowles and her relationship with young American writer Cliff Bradshaw. Under the sardonic gaze of the Klub's emcee, the pair dreams of a future that will never be in a world which is out of control.

The brains behind this charity production are Jody McCartney (Sally Bowles) and Director Lindsey Rusling. Jody and Lindsey have had a long-standing dream of using local talent to produce professional, outstanding and breath-taking productions which are accessible to all.

What is truly unique about this production is that 100% of ticketing proceeds are being donated to The Life Flight Trust: Jody and Lindsey have a goal of raising $70,000 for Life Flight through this production.

David Irving, Life Flight's CEO comments: "The talent in this show is phenomenal. This will be an extremely high-quality and entertaining production, and we are delighted to be chosen as the benefitting charity."

Thanks to Principal Sponsor Techtonics, The Garden Club and many supporters, 100% of proceeds from the 20 show season are donated directly to Life Flight.

Tickets are $60 (incl GST) and Opening night is 13 October 2010. The season runs until November 13.
