Bolkow BO105

The Trust introduces the first twin-engine rescue helicopter in New Zealand, a Bolkow BO105.

While performing commercial work, the Bolkow BO105 is damaged beyond repair owing to mechanical problems. Fortunately there are no injuries.

The Life Flight Trust then elects to introduce the AS350B Squirrel Helicopter, which commences service the following year.
